Transport management software for small UK fleets
DespatchOS was built on a working fleet of vans, not in a software house. It runs the day for an operator with one van or twenty: the jobs, the drivers, the vehicles and the money, with nothing to fit in the cab.
Now in beta
Most transport software is built for a hundred trucks
You get a planning department's tool, a hardware install and a contract. DespatchOS assumes the manager also answers the phone.
A job in under a minute
Collection, delivery, vehicle, driver. Regular contract work generates itself each day, and customers can book through their own portal.
The driver's phone is the hardware
Jobs, proof of delivery, walkaround checks and fuel all run in the DespatchOS app on iOS and Android. No trackers to fit, no tablets to buy.
The money follows the work
Customer invoices and driver self-bills come from the jobs that were actually done, with proof of delivery attached and fuel settled on the same statement.
One system, every part of the day
In the office
A live overview of today's work, who is running late and what needs a decision. Every driver on the map with the route they took. Messages to drivers that are read and answered in the app.
On the road
Today's jobs in order, proof of delivery with photos and a signature, the daily vehicle check, and fuel money requested from the cab. It keeps working without signal.
The vans
MOT and tax dates refreshed from the DVLA, service intervals by date and mileage, faults reported from the walkaround, and photo handovers with a damage map and a signed agreement.
The money
Pricing from your agreed rate, the customer's rate card or the quote engine. Self-employed drivers paid on their own calendar. VAT numbers checked with HMRC.

Questions
How small is too small?
One van is fine. The system was built on a fleet of that size and grew with it. There is no minimum number of vehicles or drivers.
Do I need to fit anything to the vans?
No. Location, checks, proof of delivery and fuel all come from the driver's phone. There are no trackers, tablets or cameras to install.
My drivers are self-employed. Does that work?
Yes. Every driver on DespatchOS is self-employed, either directly or through their own company. Self-bills are built from the jobs they completed, on their own pay calendar.
What does it cost?
DespatchOS is in beta. Beta partners use the full system and help decide what is built next. Request a place and we will talk you through it.
